Goal for the Life Night:
The goal for this night is to look at the social teachings of the Church in light of the big picture of God’s overall plan.
Life Night at a Glance:
This night is a broad topic evening, and sets up the semester. It is really about the meaning of life. It reminds the teens that doing “good works” is vital to our faith. They are our responsive yes to God, therefore they are inseparable from our faith, and integral in our adventure to get home. The night is a Japanese style game show where contestants try and answer questions correctly. If they do not give the correct answer then they are subject to strange tasks ranging from bobbing for an apple in a bowl of Jell-O to racing one of the core members around the room on their knees. The key is to have the room decorated in bright colors and have the host be extremely high energy and constantly laughing with an extremely fake laugh. After the game show, the “PROCLAIM” will be all about the Catholic teaching on Social Justice. Immediately following the teaching, the room will be quickly converted over to the set of a talk show for the skit. Small groups will follow the skit and the “SEND” will focus them on leading lives of humility.
