Goal for the Life Night:
A social night designed to welcome the rising freshmen to LIFE TEEN. This night will help these new teens feel welcome, meet new people, and understand the importance of their involvement in the program.
Life Night at a Glance:
This is a high-energy social night that is perfect for the first night the rising freshmen are allowed to come to LIFE nights. It involves all your current teens in welcoming the rising freshmen. The night begins with an introduction of the core and the LIFE TEEN program. A video and talk by the upperclassmen give the rising freshmen a humorous look at high school life. The majority of the night is spent in a series of team competitions for prizes. The night ends with prayer and an invitation for the rising freshmen to get involved.
BEFORE THE NIGHT:
The key to this night is invitation. If possible, have some upperclassmen talk to the 8th grade religious education classes and invite them to this night. Send invitations to all the 8th graders registered in the parish. Make announcements at the Masses – just get the word out that you want all rising freshmen there!
