Goal of the Life Night:
Introduce the semester and get the teenagers excited about the need to know their faith. The BIG Picture – God’s plan and how we fit into it.
Life Night at a Glance:
This night is an introductory night that sets up the entire semester. The night is meant to be fun and community build-ing. The teenagers will realize how Christ wastes Himself on us, pouring out His love over and over upon us. This night will end with a huge meal prepared by the parents of the teenagers. This will take some planning in order to get as many parents to the LIFE Night as possible. Weeks before the night, you will need to send home a letter to the PARENTS ONLY and ask them to bring a dish (appetizer, salad, pasta, main dish, or dessert) to the LIFE Night. It would be best if they kept it a secret from their teens, so that at the end of theLIFE Night the teens would be surprised to see their parents and excited to see the huge smorgasbord of food for them to eat. This dinner kicks off the semester and serves as a perfect ending to a night where the teens begin to understand the over-abundance of God’s love for them.
