Goal for the Life Night:
The goal for this night is to answer the teens’ questions on freedom, conscience and sin. The teens will understand the need for a well-informed conscience to make right decisions and live in true freedom.
Life Night at a Glance:
This Life Night is of dramatic importance for your teens. We are given the task of helping young people not only encounter the love and truth of Christ, but also respond to that love as a mature Catholic adult. This night looks at the reality of sin, the call to freedom and how our conscience needs to be formed to embrace the greater good. As a Core team, take time to pray and prepare for this night, knowing where your teens are and what they need to hear. The Life Night starts with a fun twist on bobbing for apples. This will lead into the teaching on the reality of sin and how a well-formed conscience will help us avoid sin. The Break will give the teens an opportunity to put the three steps of moral decision-making into practice. Finally, the Send draws everyone back to the heart of morality and the true “antidote” to sin – the cross.
