Goal for the Life Night:
The goal of this night is to understand the Church as the ordinary means to salvation. This night will also help teens understand what this teaching means for people of other faiths.
Life Night at a Glance:
Welcome to the Club! This Life Night explores the Church as the ordinary means for salvation. The night begins with an over-the-top invitation to join the newest secret club being formed in the community. Teens will have the opportunity to go through an initiation ceremony and be welcomed into this new club. The point of this is to show how we all desire to belong to something but we often question and/or resist the need to belong to the Catholic Church. The teaching for this night will focus on the fullness of salvation through the Catholic Church. For the Break, the teens will have an opportunity to ask questions regarding other faiths in relation to the Catholic faith. It is important that teens of other faiths are not made to feel uncomfortable at any point during this night. The night will close with a prayer for all people to be united as the one body of Christ.
