Goal for the Life Night:
The goal of this night is to introduce the semester on Social Justice and the social dimension of God’s love for his children by exploring the social dimension of the Beatitudes.
Life Night at a Glance:
This Life Night is the first night of the Social Justice semester. Before talking about specific issues of social justice, the teens must first know what God desires for his children. This night will explore the ideas of happiness, community and the role of the Beatitudes in the Christian life. The night beings with a challenge to get to know others in the youth group without talking to one another and then a game. The teaching for this night will focus on God’s desire for our happiness and our need for community. The Break will explore the social dimensions of the Beatitudes and how they fit into the teens’ lives as a guide to true happiness. The Send will give the teens an opportunity to be prayed over by the Core team for an outpouring of grace for a specific Beatitude.
