I can’t even believe it, but summer is here. Next week is our first week of summer camp at Covecrest! The annual Life Teen Training Convention is just a couple of weeks away and Life Teen at Notre Dame is one month away. Wow! You can bet we are all busy managing our to-do list, our schedules and getting really excited to spend time with everyone we will see at all the Life Teen events this summer. Life Teen Family, It is with great joy that I greet you! On September 28, 2009 Life Teen parishes from all around the world participated in our first ever global Life Night called Give It Away Now. In honor of St. Vincent de Paul, we asked all the teens and Core members to empty out their closets, bring in their clothes and weigh their donations. The clothes were then taken to a local St. Vincent de Paul Center or another charity in need and the total weights were sent to us. Or original goal

On September 28th, Life Teen asked its over 1100 parishes to join together in the first ‘Global Life Night.’ The night, entitled ‘Give it Away Now!’ was an effort to gather over 50,000 pounds of clothing for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Parishes from all over the country responded, gathering clothes and having donation drives…. and the response has been overwhelming! After the first two days of reporting, the goal of 50,000 pounds had already been smashed – there were over 150,000 lbs
