Every four months I get to do something amazing along with the rest of our Life Teen staff: We put together and ship Life Support boxes to over 1300 parishes worldwide. It is an incredible experience watching the blessings and fruits of prayer, hard work, and a great team come together in these boxes. I also have a lot of fun thinking about how parishes are going to implement the resources we send, and waiting to hear some glory stories back in the months that follow. Of course, some of the

Before we gave this option an enthusiastic “yes!” we had to make sure the quality of experience would be similar to our other camps. Dedicated summer missionaries, families, and staff: absolutely. An obstacle course, mud pit, high and low ropes course, and waterslide: yes. A true Catholic identity with dynamic programming: of course. Then we looked at the unique features of this camp: from the beautiful waterfalls, proximity to the Appalachian Trail, and organic farm, it is an ideal environment to host camp. We prayed and held several site visits with the camp and knew we had to take this leap of faith. Now we are introducing a brand new Life Teen and Edge summer camp: Camp Covecrest – Hiawassee.

Youth Ministry is tiring work, both physically and spiritually. Hours before the teens arrive for a Life Night, Core Teams have been setting up environments and practicing teachings. Long after the Edge kids are picked up, Core Members are sweeping up floors and taking out trash. And then there are the trips. The long bus rides to Camps and Conferences, the paper towel thin blankets and sheets, and, not to mention, the steady diet of pizza and coffee do very little for the middle-aged body. The
