Goal for the Life Night:
The goal for this night is to help the teens understand that true strength is found in suffering and sacrifice. This night will also help teens recognize that as followers of Christ they must die to self in order to gain the fullness of life in Christ.
Life Night at a Glance:
This is the final night of the semester on Paschal Mystery and is designed to be an overview of the main themes of the semester. More importantly, this night seeks to show the teens how living out the Paschal Mystery is an essential part of being a follower of Christ. The night will start with various opportunities for the teens to prove their strength in the first-ever Life Teen Strong Man Competition. The teaching for the night will focus on the strength of the cross and how we reveal true strength when we die to ourselves. During small groups, the teens will be asked to think about one person/situation where they need to die to their own desires. The Send is a powerful time of prayer where teens are asked to literally lay down their lives and surrender to the will of God.
