Goal for the Life Night:
The goal is to affirm and celebrate the seniors in your youth group and to challenge the rest of the group to follow in their footsteps through a heart of a servant.
Life Night at a Glance:
This night will need to take place in two separate groups, seniors and the rest of the group. This night will be an opportunity to toast and celebrate your graduating seniors while challenging all of the teens to follow in the footsteps of their upper classmen in spreading their passion for Christ to others. The seniors will gather and be treated to a nice meal prepared by parents or core members, also a great opportunity for summer core if you have them. This part of the night will be a time to thank all of the seniors for all of their hard work and commitment to their faith and the ministry. The rest of the group will gather in a different place with the Youth Minister. This is an opportunity for the Youth Minister to challenge and invite this group to carry out the mission and passion these seniors have done for the past four years. Also a time to let them know that things will not change just because the seniors graduate, but keep going just as Christ calls us all to.
Midway through the night both groups will gather together, preferably in the church, for the break and ending prayer. The break will consist of the seniors washing the feet of all of the other teens just as Christ washed the feet of His disciples at the Last Supper. The night will end with prayer/praise and worship in the church.
