Goal for the Life Night:
Building on the first Night, the goal of this Night is to show how the Church itself is the first Sacrament. Teens will come to a greater understanding that through the Church, the very Life of God flows into our lives giving us the grace we need to follow Christ and participate with
Him in the building of His Kingdom and the ongoing work of redemption, and ultimately to be with Him for all eternity.
Life Night at a Glance:
The evening begins with a game show entitled “What Did Jesus Do?” starring three teens picked at random. The teens will be asked questions in the manner of “What Did Jesus Do?” in a certain situation. The questions are taken from actual Gospel stories and the teen that gets the most answers right should win a prize such as a T shirt, CD, or free attendance at an upcoming retreat. Following a teaching, the youth minister/CORE member will lead a large group rap session that will break down the teaching and show how it applies to their world. The Night closes with the teens renewing their baptismal vows.
