From Facebook to Saintbook

What’s your status? For a generation of teens that are more connected to the world and to each other than ever before, everything hinges on knowing and being known. Through Facebook pages, smart phones, Wikipedia, blogs and YouTube videos, the world is at their fingertips. How do we make prayer, Mary and the Saints accessible to teens who value immediate feedback and instant communication?

A few years ago we worked to answer that question by publishing a resource called Saintbook. Our goal was to give the “Internet generation” easy access to the wealth and depth of prayer found in Mary and the Saints. These big brothers and sisters in faith are great examples of faith as well as an inexhaustible wellspring of intercessory prayer. We are called to lead teens closer to Christ; we have to help teens get to know the heroes of our faith. They need to know that holiness is possible – here and now. They need to know that they are not alone.

Just in time for Confirmation, Easter and graduation, we have released the second edition of Saintbook! With new saint profiles, more prayers and improved content, this is a great resource for teens, Core Members and parents. In this new and improved book you will discover the powerful role of Mary and how to foster a relationship with Our Lady. You will also transform the Rosary into a profound encounter with Christ and His Mother through meditations on all 20 Mysteries. Saintbook also highlights the lives of over 50 saints, showing how our brothers and sisters responded to the call to holiness and how they can help us respond to ours.

We hope that this resource will help you lead teens (and yourself) closer to Christ this spring!
