Goal for the Life Night:
The goal for this night is to explain the central mystery of our faith – the Paschal Mystery. It will also help teens understand how their salvation was won through Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection.
Life Night at a Glance:
This Life Night is the pinnacle of the semester and the subject is the pinnacle of our faith. The challenge is to get your teens to approach the truth of their salvation with new eyes and a new heart. It is designed to look and feel different than an ordinary Life Night. The night starts with a humorous look at the misconceptions about the Paschal Mystery. Next a short talk clears up the confusion by defining and explaining the centrality of this mystery. The majority of the night is spent in looking at the Passion, Death, and Resurrection from new perspectives. Through the eyes of Mary, John the Evangelist, and God the Father, the teens will be challenged to reflect on each part of the Paschal Mystery. The night ends with a prayer of thanksgiving for the salvation won for us by Christ.
