Goal for the Life Night:
This night will seek to answer the question “What is evangelization?” and show the teens how they are called to evangelize. This night will focus on the centrality of prayer in the mission of evangelization.
Life Night at a Glance:
Often times we have an idea that evangelization is only meant for the John the Baptists or the St. Pauls of the world. Evangelization is the task of all Christians. This night is truly the heart of the entire semester. Make sure to take time as a Core team to pray through and prepare this night for your teens. One of the primary roles of the baptized is to evangelize. This night will help teens confront their fears and misconceptions about evangelization while giving them practical tools to evangelize their family and friends. The night begins with a skit showing the worldly stereotypes of evangelization. The skit leads into a teaching on what evangelization really is. The Break gives teens the opportunity to break open a few Scripture texts on the mission, approach, message and characteristics of evangelization. The night wraps up with a teen witness about the challenge to go out and evangelize, and then giving the rest of the group the same challenge. Finally the night finishes by calling upon the Holy Spirit in prayer.
