Goal for the Life Night:
To help the teens see themselves and their family from a different perspective from that of their parents (and siblings) and to enlighten the teens as to the effects their attitude and approach have on others within their family at home and within the family of faith.
Life Night at a Glance:
Everyone struggles from time to time with family relationships. This night gives the teens an opportunity to look at themselves and the way they treat their family members. We are often times so quick to point fingers at other family members if they have done something wrong, and not look at our own shortcomings. This night begins with a skit that speaks to the times that we use our family for ourselves. After the teaching, the teenagers will have the opportunity to write letters to their family members, asking for forgiveness for the times that they have not treated them as Christ has asked us to. The night will end with a time of healing and prayer for relationships that have been damaged or destroyed in the families of our teenagers.
