Every year we at Life Teen hold an Annual Appeal to raise money so that we can serve more parishes and lead more teens closer to Jesus Christ. This year eight of us staff members have decided that we believe in this mission so much that we are wiling to run a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) to raise money for Life Teen.
For twelve weeks, we will put our bodies on the line as we train for our race, which will take place on January 20, 2013 in Phoenix. For the majority of us, this will be longest distance we’ve ever run, requiring much fortitude physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. But we love Jesus, and we love teens, so for us, it’s all worth it.
So, how will this work? A half marathon is 13.1 miles long, and in order to raise some funds for Life Teen, each of us will be offering up one mile of our race for anyone who is willing to donate $50 to Life Teen.
Below is a link to each staff member’s fundraising page. You can choose which staff member you want to support and donate securely through their individual page. We are asking for $50 minimum for one mile, but of course you can always donate more if you would like. That staff member will then offer up a mile of his or her race for you and any prayer intentions you may have. Please include any prayer intentions in the “Comment” section on the fundraising page.
Thank you all so much for praying about this opportunity, and may God continue to bless each one of you with His love, joy, and grace.
