Goal for the Life Night:
To expose (no pun intended) the teens to the effects of pornography on the family and modern culture and explain why there is no such thing as “personal” or “private” sin. To give concrete examples as to why pornography destroys both men and women; give suggestions on how to break free from its enslaving effects; and offer hope and healing to those who have been personally destroyed by it.
Life Night at a Glance:
A serious skit sets the tone for the night to take a deeper look into the destruction of pornography. Both guys and girls struggle with the effects of pornography in our society. Pornography reduces God’s creation into a commodity to be used and thrown away. After the teaching the teens will be split into “guys only” and “girls only” groups in order to go deeper. Both the guys and girls will be asked to be honest and vulnerable in order to enlist the help and prayers of their brothers and sisters in Christ. The night ends with a time of prayer and each teenager will receive a “Purity” wristband to wear and to remind them that they are to live with courage and purity in the midst of sin.
