Out of the Box: Making the Most of Life Support

Somehow there is only three months left of 2010!  How did that happen?  School is in full swing, summer is a distant memory and Christmas will be here before you know it.  Think back… what were your ministry goals at the beginning of 2010?  How about your personal spirituality; what commitments to prayer did you make on January 1, 2010?  During the “homestretch” of the year, it is not too late!  Take time to reevaluate your ministry and personal relationship with God. Recommit to daily Mass or monthly Reconciliation. Challenge the Core Team to commit to relational ministry with renewed zeal and passion.  God is calling you deeper into His love and farther into the great adventure of youth ministry. If you are feeling tired, take time to reconnect with teens.  Remember what got you into youth ministry in the first place. As always, know that you are in our prayers.  As a Life Teen staff, we are lifting you and your ministry up in prayer every Thursday at 2 pm EST during our Holy Hour.  If there is anything we can do to support your ministry, please let us know. Below is a short description of everything you will find in this box:

Back, L to R: Come Walk, Joy of Knowing Christ, Spotlight 11, Curriculum Guide, the box, Liturgy Planning Guide, Life Teen Core Training, Video Support 11. Front: Audrey Assad CD, Gungor CD

Curriculum Guide: Paschal Mystery Semester

Video Support #11

A DVD filled with videos for the teens, for training of Core Members and just for fun!  Each of these valuable videos can be used in Life Nights, Retreat, Core training, or socials with the teens.  Take time to look through the DVD and get creative on how to incorporate them into your program!

Spotlight: Volume 11

This resource is designed to keep you informed about what is going on in youth ministry as well as provide social and issue nights to use in semester planning.  This volume has two Issue Life Nights and one social Life Night. Filled with valuable information, this resource is meant to be shared among your Core team!

Life Teen Core Training: Relational Ministry

One of the most requested resources is something that can be used to train and form a healthy and solid Core Team.  Well, here it is! This is the third of eight Core Training books, each designed to help youth ministers form and train their Core Team.  This edition covers the basics of relational ministry to teenagers.

Come Walk: A Teen Guide to the Stations of the Cross

Come Clean, Come Adore, and now… Come Walk!  This small, yet powerful resource is the third in our series of small books directed to help teens encounter Christ in the Sacraments and prayer.  Come Walk helps teens walk with Christ through His passion and death.  Each of the 14 Stations give several different reflections for the teens to pray.

The Joy of Knowing Christ. A book by Pope Benedict XVI

Pope Benedict is a brilliant theologian and scholar, but first he is a pastor, and this is evident in every meditation in this collection. A strong advocate of Lectio Divina, the prayerful reading of the scriptures, Pope Benedict shows us how much nourishment and inspiration we can derive from meditating on the Word of God. This book is a collection of meditations taken from Pope Benedict’s homilies.

In this box you will also find:

  • The House You’re Building.  A new CD from Audrey Assad
  • Beautiful Things. A powerful CD from Gungor
  • Life Teen Etch-a-Sketch
