Goal for the Life Night:
To delineate the ongoing struggle of sin in our lives and remind the teens of the gift that God gives us through relationships with people who hold us accountable as Christians amidst a morally relevant society.
Life Night at a Glance:
This night gives the teens an opportunity to look at how they are held accountable for the sins they commit in their own lives. The night begins with a humorous look at accountability as one teen from the parish will be put on trial and held accountable for his/her actions. The teaching then leads into a chance for further accountability. Teens are given an option for the second half of the night (BREAK through SEND) to experience accountability from God in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. For those who do not choose this option, they have an opportunity to discuss in small groups how accountability works in their own lives. The night concludes with the teens taking a look into themselves to see the crosses in their lives that they need help carrying or to be held accountable for, and then they pray with an accountability partner about these things.
