Goal for the Life Night:
To help the teens realize and understand the need for more honest, humble and direct communication, (both spoken and unspoken) in an increasingly impersonal and technological culture.
Life Night at a Glance:
Teens love to talk – if they are not talking with someone, they are on the phone, text messaging, instant messaging, e-mailing… you get the picture. But what is really being said? This LIFE Night looks at our many forms of communication and how they can prevent us from deeply knowing the people we talk to, or allowing them to know us. This Night starts with a comical re-enactment of the Tower of Babel to highlight how difficult communication can be. The heart of the Night shows how Christ was the ultimate communicator and how we are called to glorify God and honor one another through both our verbal and non-verbal communication. The Night will challenge them to more honest and open communication with friends, family, and God. The conclusion of the Night reveals the power of words in both Scripture and prayer by asking teens to pray over one another.
