Goal of this Life Night
The goal for this Life Night is to help the teens understand that stealing is not limited to just theft but encompasses a larger range of topics. This night will challenge the teens to take a closer look at their lives and break any habits of stealing.
About this night
This Life Night addresses the issue of stealing. Although most teens will automatically think of robbery, this Life Night expands the scope to issues like copyrighting, pirating, slacking at work, illegal downloading, etc. The night begins with the youth minister trying to track down the person who stole the Life Night pieces. After a brief conversation with the person who was caught, the night will flow into a teaching on the Seventh Commandment “thou shall not steal.” The teens will have an opportunity to share their thoughts in a large group discussion and then be challenged to allow God to change their hearts on the issue of stealing. The night will close with the Core Members praying over the teens for courage to stay strong against stealing.
