As you will notice on the websites, it is Annual Appeal time at Life Teen. The theme we have chosen the appeal this year is, “Vocations Start Here.”
We live in a loud and fast paced world. God longs to speak to each one of us, but how can we hear Him amidst the noise and demands of our culture? For over 27 years, the Life Teen Movement has been committed to evangelizing youth and helping them hear God’s call. We humbly invite you to take part in our mission where vocations begin.
Every year we at Life Teen hold an Annual Appeal to raise money so that we can serve more parishes and lead more teens closer to Jesus Christ. This year eight of us staff members have decided that we believe in this mission so much that we are wiling to run a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) to raise money for Life Teen.
As many of you know, I will be running my first marathon here in Phoenix on January 15, 2012. For the past 11+ weeks I have been training and will continue to do so for another 7 weeks. After thinking and praying about it, I have decided to offer up my marathon as an opportunity to raise some money for Life Teen’s Annual Appeal.
