How to Pray: Back to the Basics

2011-12_PrayerBasics

A rhythm of prayer is absolutely necessary to get closer to God but it’s not going to be some specific formula and it’s not going to look the same for everyone. If you can find a way to incorporate all those prayers into your life then that’s amazing, but that’s not expected of everyone. The Little “s” Saints

You and I most likely will never have a feast day in the Liturgical Calendar of the Church. Why Not?

At times over the past few years, I have found myself serenaded by a chorus of “Why?” Why would we suggest this or that? Why did we start summer camps in the midst of a Church safe environment crisis? Why does Life Teen continue to grow even in the midst of youth ministry cutbacks in the Church? Ya’ll Come Back Now, Ya Hear? | Active membership in the Church

Keywords:

The goal of this night is to recognize the need for action in our faith lives. To be an active member of the Catholic Church involves a life of service beginning in the home and the parish. Our participation in the life of the Church should be more than just weekly attendance of mass; we are all called into full and active membership of the Church.
