Help for New Youth Ministers

A few weeks ago my diocese hosted a new youth minister orientation.  As I prepared for the day, it brought back a number of memories of my first years in parish life. Goal of the Life Night: By the end of the night, teens will better understand depression, how to recognize it, and be better equipped to work through it. Life Night at a Glance: This night on depression starts off with a light hearted skit in which age old remedies for depression are discounted. This night allows you to approach the subject of depression while helping the teens to assess his or her own lives. Teens will fill out a brief survey and will have time to discuss the topic of depression
