Santa Catalina Catholic Church is looking for a Worship Leader for our weekly 5:00pm Youth Mass.!

This position involves planning and playing music for our Life Teen & EDGE teens and their families.

We are looking to grow this ministry and its importance to how we pray the Mass.

Applicants should be familiar with modern/contemporary worship music, liturgical music planning & scheduling, and how to properly incorporate those elements in the Mass setting. Applicant should also be well versed in playing guitar as well as singing (piano experience is also strongly preferred). We are also looking to recruit several more musicians to help for a more full band from our volunteer base & parish community.

Pay is based on planning time, as well as time spent rehearsing & playing for Mass.

Applicant will need to complete required Diocesan Safe Environment training if not already compliant with the Diocese of Tucson.

Part-time position including weekly presence at Youth Faith Formation Classes on Sunday mornings.
Requirements/Description:
• 15 hours a week
• Fluent in both Spanish and English. Must feel comfortable speaking on the phone and face-to-face with families and the parish community.
• Top notch organizational/administration skills. The primary component of this position is to maintain well-organized paperwork systems for Youth Faith Formation (Registrations, Attendance, Sacrament Preparation,) and Safe Environment Records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) and familiarity with or willingness to learn proprietary parish database program (comparable to ParishSoft) and Constant Contact promotional software. Creativity a plus!
• Safe Environment Training, Fingerprinting, and Background Check required of all employees and will be completed upon hiring.

Job Description

Life Teen is looking for an organized, motivated, and creative person to manage anything and everything relating to our storefronts: satellite stores at conferences, our online store, and at our Mission District storefront in Atlanta, Georgia. Our Product Sales Coordinator (PSC) will work closely with our Executive Vice President on new product development, as well as collaborate with Life Teen’s internal Web Group and Graphic Design Group. The PSC will also work closely with customers, staff, designers and outside companies who produce and ship our products to our consumers.

The PSC position requires extensive travel. This full-time position is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The position includes full benefits and the pay is salary.

Responsibilities

• Logistics – Set up and manage satellite stores at conferences, summer camps, and at special events. The ability to manage multiple satellite sales sites and multi-task is a must.
• Hospitality – given the extensive face time with customers, the PSC must model hospitality, quality service, and be a glowing ambassador for Life Teen. The PSC will often recruit, train, and work with new people and volunteers on a regular basis.
• Development – Manage all stages of new product development under the leadership of our Executive Vice President.
• Inventory Management – optimize inventory levels that balance product availability with financial responsibility.
• Customer Service – Should be passionate about serving others, as the position will handle all email, phone and fax correspondence with customers, bulk order pricing, etc to insure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction
• Internal Communication – oversees budget, offers monthly reports and prospectuses to Staff, aids in marketing and distribution of resources, obtains price quotes and oversees product fulfillment and communicates with different Staff Members/Teams throughout every stage of the process.

Hales Franciscan High School in Chicago, IL is seeking a Service-Learning Coordinator and Religion Teacher for the 2012-2013 academic year; anticipated start date August 1, 2012. The Service-Learning Coordinator and Religion Teacher ensures that the service-learning program and procedures throughout the school are upheld and students receive sound theological education. The Service-Learning Coordinator and Religion Teacher upholds Catholic, Christian teaching as promoted by the Franciscan tradition through instruction of religion courses and leadership of the school-wide service-learning program.

With the goal of ensuring a solid catechetical education for our youth and adults, the Catechetical Formation Coordinator will plan and administer the Faith Formation Programs for Holy Trinity Parish including religious education, sacramental preparation, RCIC, RCIA and vocational awareness. This is a mission critical position and requires a self-confident, extroverted person who can enliven, engage and ignite the desire for learning. Preferred qualifications include previous religious education teaching experience within a Catholic school or direct responsibility for a Catholic Faith Formation Program as well as a Bachelor Degree in Theology, Religious Education or related field. The successful candidate must be a practicing Catholic who models Christian values and active participation in parish life. Computer literacy and Microsoft Office Suite familiarity is required.

Working under the supervision of the full time Coordinator of Youth Ministry, the Youth Minister must be able to work with the Coordinator to advance the parishes vision of youth ministry. Often times this includes working independently from each other in order to accomplish all that needs to be done.

Focusing on the spiritual and social needs of our local high school teens, middle school youth, young adults and families you will help them build bridges between their daily lives and their Catholic Faith. The Youth Minister position has a hands on, face to face and people centered focus.

Working with the volunteers (adult, young adult and youth) the Youth Minister will support, promote, maintain and be present to various volunteer led ministry programs (EDGE), young adult prayer groups, service projects, ministry skills groups (music, drama, etc.), faith and bible studies, various retreats (family, teens, young adult and middle school) and social activities.

Through being an increased presence in two local Catholic high schools and six local Catholic elementary schools, the youth minister will seek opportunities to attract an increasing number of Catholic youth by forming personal relationships with students and enthusiastically inviting them into parish life.

The Diocese of Santa Rosa seeks a full-time Director of Youth Ministry to serve its 42 parishes located in Northwestern California.
