I Hope You Get To Experience That Kind of Love

The only detail left to close the deal was if the car dealer could have the car ready for his son to pick it up in time for his senior prom. You see this dad wanted his son to know he loved and trusted him. This dad loved buying new cars and this one was special, a brand new Lincoln Continental…..

Life Teen – Leading Teens To Priestly Vocations!

This summer, we surveyed over 600 seminarians and found that relationships with parish priests and youth ministers were among the most influential in seminarians’ vocational discernment. 30% of surveyed seminarians stated that Life Teen played a role in helping them discern their vocation. In addition 49% had attended at least one parish or national Life Teen event during high school. What makes this statistic worth considering, is the fact that Life Teen is currently being implemented in only 1400 of the 18,000 U.S. Catholic parishes.

Glimpses

- seeing the teen, who didn’t want to “get into it” because he was forced by his parents to go on retreat, standing in a large group of teens praying with his hands raised!

- hearing your DRE walking by your office humming the tune from the closing song at Teen Mass last night!

Free Resource: Future Fathers, A Life Night on Supporting Seminarians

Our dream at Life Teen is that every seminarian is brought to prayer specifically and individually by teenagers. In order to realize this dream, we need your help. We at Life Teen have put together a Life Night/Prayer Night entitled “Future Fathers.” This night can be a Life Night or can be used during a Prayer group. It will help introduce the teens to the priestly vocation, the power of intercessory prayer, and empowering your teenagers to intercede for the seminarians in your diocese.

One Smart Shepherd: B16′s first 5 years

Put simply, in these past five years, Pope Benedict XVI has been nothing less than brilliant. He has shattered pre-papal misconceptions about his doctrinal “bulldog” attitude. His scope and vision have been no less breathtaking than Pope John Paul II’s, only subtler. Pope Benedict is a true Shepherd, capably leading a flock through morally corrupt and challenging times. Witnessing the Holy Spirit unleash his theological brilliance in such a pastoral way has been a true gift.
