Even in middle school, our youth are overwhelmed by the many expectations and responsibilities that are placed on them by the various people in their lives (parents, teachers, coaches, priests, youth ministers, friends, etc). The goal of this retreat is to reflect on what it means to live with childlike faith; this will incorporate not only having faith like a child, but also what it means to forgive and to love with the simplicity of a child. Checklist for a Great Retreat

Sometimes we in youth ministry struggle with organization. I learned this the hard way on my first fall retreat as a youth minister. Forgetting to bring something as small as an s-video wire can disrupt that amazing retreat experience that you have been praying about, planning for, and convincing your pastor to attend for months. So I recommend assembling a quality retreat kit as far in advance as possible (a few weeks or more).
