The 2011 Life Teen Training Convention was four amazing days of prayer, praise, fellowship and community. Nearly 500 attendees, including Priests, Youth Ministers, Music Ministers and Core Team Members filled the convention hall at the Doubletree Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona last week. This year’s theme, Veni Sancte Spiritus, was truly prayed as we celebrated the feast of Pentecost to begin the conference. Fr. As human beings we have a tendency to resist change. We fear the unknown and can be very apprehensive about it. But throughout his papacy, Blessed John Paul II constantly reminded us to not be afraid. Jesus even calls us to live in the reality of God’s protection (Matt. 6:25-27) when he says that worrying will not add a single moment to our lives. And back in the Old Testament, God reminds us that he has a plan for our lives and we should trust Him because He wants to give us a future “full of hope” (Jer. 29:11).
From Oprah to Life Teen? Some people, when they go to light a big bonfire, pile the logs perfectly in a square. However, some are a fan of the triangular log configuration.
