Goal for the Life Night:
The goal of this night is to show how all of the Old Testament points to and waits for the promise of the Messiah. This night will also show that God is trustworthy in his promises, and help teens place their trust in the promises of God.
Life Night at a Glance:
No matter how hard we try to avoid it, we have all experienced our trust being broken by someone close to us. This night looks at God’s promises in the Old Testament and will help the teens trust that God is faithful to His promises for their lives today. The night begins with a skit about a teen who faces situations where outrageous, empty promises are made. The teens will have an opportunity to share in a large group about a time in their lives they have experienced someone breaking their trust and whether or not they trust in God’s promises. After a teaching on God’s promise and fulfillment of the Old Testament covenants, the night will move into a time of silence and reflection on God’s promises for the teens even today. The night will end with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, giving the teens an opportunity to place their trust in the promises of God.
