Life Teen Retreat

Unstoppable Retreat

Keywords: | |

Goal of this Retreat

Based on the life of St. Paul, the goal of the retreat is for the teens to encounter the incredible power of God’s grace to convert and transform their lives. This retreat will also show the teens that conversion is a process instead of a single event. Finally this retreat will empower the teens to become an unstoppable force of God’s grace in their world.

Overview of this Retreat

Pope Benedict XVI has named this year in the Church the year of St. Paul. It begins June 28, 2008 and ends June 29, 2009. The life of St. Paul gives us a great framework to introduce teens to the power of God’s grace and recognize the continual call to conversion in our lives. From the Catholic News Service:

In his first official visit outside the Vatican in April 2005, Pope Benedict went to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls to pray at the tomb of the apostle and pay homage to his legacy of spreading the Gospel. “The Church is, by its nature, missionary; its primary task is evangelization,” the pope said on that occasion. “At the beginning of the third millennium, the Church feels with renewed strength that Christ’s missionary mandate is more pressing than ever,” he said.

This retreat focuses on the ongoing conversion of St. Paul and how the power of God’s grace completely transformed him, making him an unstoppable force for the kingdom. Regardless of where your teens are right now, this retreat will set the stage for deeper conversion and the call to evangelization.
