Goal for the Life Night:
To discuss the many ways that the Internet can impact our daily lives, both positively and negatively, and to challenge the teens to harness its powers for doing good.
Life Night at a Glance:
The Internet has become so popular with teenagers that this Night is geared to helping them realize the negative effects and challenge them to use the Internet to share Christ with others. The Night begins with a fun Internet trivia game and leads into a video teaching prepared by LIFE Studios featuring Matt Smith, lifeteen.com’s Webmaster. After the teaching, the teens will privately take a survey where they will be asked to access their own use of the Internet in their lives and then challenge them to creatively come up with ways that they are going to use the Internet in a positive way. As the Night comes to an end, the teens will pair up with a friend that will pray with them and promise to hold them accountable in avoiding the areas of the Internet where they struggle. Feel free to add ways that teenagers can become more involved in your own parish website or youth group website by writing articles or developing features.
